Torfs Shoes is on the move! The popular shoe shop chain launches a completely new concept that fits perfectly with this welcoming family business. A good story with the customer taking centre stage and Torfs’ values as the common theme. The shop in Borsbeek has the honour of being the first to show off this brand-new concept

Pure, refreshing and inspiring

Authenticity, Appeal, Connection and Sustainability: the new shop concept took shape with these four core values as a guide. The result: a future-proof shop that tells an authentic Torfs story and where the customer immediately feels at home. The use of pure materials, the right use of images, the design of various interior elements, the personal service... it all works together and contributes to a successful shopping experience worthy of Torfs.

We want to inspire, challenge and surprise. The aim is not to show off with the most innovative interior with technologically advanced gadgets. What we did want was to create a shopping environment that fits with the identity of Torfs’ customers.

Web kiosk

A web kiosk is key to the shop, allowing Torfs to seamlessly bring the online experience into the physical shop. A fun animation highlights the web-only products and the customer can order these products via the interactive screen. In addition to web-only products, the customer can access the entire range, and if the desired size is not available in the shop, he/she can immediately order the right size and have it delivered at home.

Kids' corner

Femke Van Woensel, shop designer at Torfs: 'Even the youngest Torfs customers are involved in the design process. We organised a genuine design competition in which we challenged kids to design the play area of their dreams. We found the input from this was very surprising and valuable. It inspired us to design a play tree in the shop.’

We are particularly proud that after all these years we can still contribute to the Torfs story. Not only did we take on the installation and maintenance of the screens, our graphics people also enjoy making fun animations to put on the screens each month.
