View DXP Play as the missing link to display a website, web app or progressive web app (PWA) on a touchscreen or kiosk with a ChromeOS device.
The Google ChromeOS environment is the ideal basic infrastructure to successfully roll out a kiosk or touchscreen project. What the Google ChromeOS Device Management platform does not offer however is a tool to centrally manage the Chrome browser properties and browser behavior. The DXP Play solution offers the answer here. DXP Play contains a Google Chrome extension that is sent to the ChromeOS players via the CDM system. This allows us to manage the behavior of the Chrome browser. For example, we can block URLs, set inactivity timers, show a navigation bar, set up session management rules, turn off the screen and much more. These settings can be managed via the DXP Solution Manager. This is a web portal where all devices are registered and where the desired settings can be managed. This gives IT administrators and integrators all the tools to set up a successful touchscreen or kiosk project.
